Yes m8, I have.

 

The light spectrum is not the same as a paint spectrum. Try mixing all the colours of your Daler Rowney no.2 paintbox together, I think you'll find that you'll get a rather muddy mess, rather than white. :D

 

Yes, you can print white but it tends to be screen printed rather than on an offset-litho or similar as you'd never get the presses clean enough to print white. :D

TRY THIS AT HOME,without the sun there are no colours.Look out of your window at night and every single thing is shades of grey to black ."No colour".Even green leaves are grey,etc.

Mixing light colours or mixing pigment (eg. paint) colours work in different ways.

 

The three primary colours of pigment are yellow (Y), magenta (M), and cyan ©. These three colours are combined using subtractive colour mixing to reproduce the range of visible colours.

 

The three primary colours of light are blue (B), green (G), and red ®. These three colours are combined using additive colour mixing to reproduce the range of visible colours.

I thought that the only "colour" that isnt a "colour" is black, because its a lack of colour, as all the light is absorbed and none is reflected, like with a red car all the other colours of light are absorbed and only the BEST colour is reflected!!!:D

Yes but you have to agree White is the fastest colour because of the lack of colour pigment it's so much lighter!

Therefore it gives the best power to weight ratios of all the colours.

And because the Zed is RWD it doubles the difference!

Also - white reflects the most light. This helps cooling, which means better compression and more power ;) :D

Sillver reflects light but also (I think) absorbs more energy from the light than a white surface. white is white because it is not perfectly flat. Roughen a mirror and it will relfect white light.

The colour of my zed says im a lazy git and i should wash it!!!:D

because white randomly scatters light, mirrors reflect light only in the same plane. Its all to do with the way the light is absorbed and re-emmitted by the material, very very complex stuff, I couldn't give you a better answer, ill ask my physics teacher tommorrow :)

I think I am wrong here . Ask Clarkey's physics teacher !. AFAIK silver and white don't absorb light. But I guess if both surfaces were smooth, one would reflect and be white while the other would reflect and be silver !;) Maybe silver absorbs SOME of all the colours, hence it has no colour but is not black.

 

This is interesting - what's the answer Clarkey ?
