hi sorry to bother everyone but i am really stressed at the moment. i have just recently had some bodywork done to my car quite radical infact but it looks amazing. i was washing my car today and i noticed that the part of the kit that was blended in to the body of the car has cracked. its only been two weeks. i`m worried that if i take me car back to the guy that did the work he might turn around and ask me to pay for for the repair. as far as i understand it should neer happened so there must be a problem in the way he did the job or something along those lines. can anyone give me advice as i cant afford to pay for any repairs.

cheers

I would say first thing would be to take it back and sound the guy out. See what he has to say and go from there.

From what you've described, it shouldn't have cracked, but some more details wouldn't go a miss.

Good luck........keep us up to date with your progress.

Any pics?

Give the people a chance first.

How did you pay? Credit card?

Stuart

You have no other recourse but to take it back to the people that did the work primarily. You will have to take it from there.

You could also take it to a new bodyshop.

You are working on the assumption that the other body shop are gonna be a pain. They may tell you to bring it in an they will fix it with no charge, which they should do. Dont assume they are going to tell you to piss off when you tell them.

i know i am being paranoid but it because i have nobody to discuss the issue with today (being sunday). i bought the parts from Zcentre and everything is paid for in cash (£1300), including the bodywork. i am just a bit annoyed but will keep you informed. cheers i would like to attach some pics as the car looks quite good but i dont know how to do it on the form.

To put pics on, use the attach file at the bottom of the screen when you post. They cant be too big and 1 pic per post.

What work have you had done.

I'm very interested to know what you have had done for £1300.

Is that £1300 including the parts.

Please let us know.

Cheers Dave.

the cost includes parts and labour. i paid about £500 for tailgate tub and round rear lights. i then paid £800 for fitting and spraying both lights and tailgate tub, front mesh grill and some touching up on my front bumper.
