Erm auto arming, isn't that what defines what a Cat 1 alarm is?

IE turn it off and it's just an alarm.

Auto immobilization is part of the CAT1 standard AFAIK.

Hmmmm didn't think that a CAT 1 classification refers to an alarm which arms itself after 15 seconds. I don't mind the auto immobiliser but when at petrol stations, cleaning it the auto arming is a real pain as the slightest bit of movement/wind with the roof off can set it off.

Just arm it with the internal sensors turned off.

Something like green key twice then bottom right key.

Auto alarm arming is part of the CAT1.

The immobiliser should kick in afterabout a minute tops, but i dont think the alarm should set. What if u got out the car for 20secs and left the keys in there, youd be locked out and the alarm would go off...

shit that was supposed to say is not part of cat1..

:p

Yeah that's what I thought. The alarm will arm when the keys are in but doesn't lock. I am not too bothered about the auto immobilisation but I think the alarm auto arming is a bit of a pest. But apparently you can turn the auto alarm arming off and leave the auto immobilisation on which is what I want to do.:D

Ivan:rolleyes:

Yea, i recently had an Ai606 installed and at a petrol station i fill up, when i get back in the car the i turn the key and wont start- imobiliser is on and i just press any key on the remote while the key is turned and it brings it all to life. But no alarm arming tho.

Im not sure how you can change it. The instructions i got dont go into that much detail, and its annoying cos mine locks the doors once engine is started and unlocks them when stopped. Means when my turbo timer is running and stops a min later, the alarm unlocks the doors!! Grr...

Yeah mine doesn't lock the doors when on the move but I think it should because I can hear the door locks clunk and again when I turn the engine off.

I think to be a CAT 1 the Immobiser has to come on after a few secs, which is no big problem. But the alarm arming and locking the doors can be, if you are not expecting it and your keys are in the car. That is why that part of it is optional.
