Inlet additives...hmmmm..OK!

There are many products on the market, from octain boosting filter oils to NoS, as we are fully aware.

But has anyone regulated the flow of pure O2 into the manifold.

Far cheeper, very easy to diaphram suppy at varying pressure,

& its a combustable fuel support carrier .

If the flow of air to fuel to O2 was calculated by a clever sod @ all throttle positions & a neumatic flow diaphram was used to feed the manifold, surly this would mean 'fuel/fuel carrer-combustable O2 & air ?

And as O2 is ice cold on constant pressurised deliverance - is a thought too.

Probably been done already, but i've been asked why not.

So ......

The nitrogen is needed to suppress the burning as pure oxygen would cause total melt down as you could never supply enough fuel. Remember the car engine is designed to use air which is only 21% oxygen

As you say mate, 20-23% is the av oxygen consentration in air depending on polution & altitude/ air pressure. & rightly said the our fuel is mached to that!.....but.

> night driving, & cold air is very noticable for any engine (ask any biker on an early sunday morning).

Would a few % more oxygen help in "spirited" driving. & a cooler running engine, especialy if its regulated to respond to both - as in a air pressure/O2 sensor? Which isn't rocket science.......mean a happy chillin' V6 ?

Anyone know the LFM for the MAS intake from idle to full?

To get any noticable increase in power, you would be injecting enough O2 for meltdown unforts. Pure oxygen is deadly stuff too - no way would I carry a bottle of it in a performance car - asking for a fireball IMO

O2 is well hazardous stuff - I've heard of instances in Air Sep plants where spillage onto tarmac can, in effect, cause the ground to become combustible.

And if you were able to remap to burn in neat O2, as everyone says, the combustion temperature would be around 4000C (normal air flame fronts are about 2000C)!

Not such a good idea, methinks - (stick to NOx)

Harve,

Remind me never attend your car if you have a crash!!!

If you have a slight prang it could turn your car and the people helping you into a Molatov Cocktail!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Running Away Qucikly
