Hello people

I am 21 and own a 300zx 1991 Non turbo (sorry)

couple of things

does anyone know where i could trade this in for a UK TT?

Would NOS be a good idea for it as i want mor epower but not all the time as drive abit?

Anyone know any good deals on Exhausts, chips and airfilters for my car?

I dont really want to spend more than a £1000 at the mo, anyone want to trade?

Give mopre info on car if needed!

have you ever driven a 30zx twin turbo. evidently not. if you are looking for speed what you need to do is trade it for a twin turbo. i am not sure where you can do that but others maybe able to give you more info.

once you have a twin turbo there is soooooooo much that you can do to increase speed an i wouldnt recomend NOS unless you have forged pistons etc etc etc and even then you are looking at costs of £4000+++.

i wanted NOS on my car then i bought a twin turbo. it is amazingly fast, so fast i havent thought about it again.

good luck

p.s. 300zx generally drink money so be careful, especially if you have a budget.

where have you been shopping for nos i can get it fitted to my Zed for £800 and you do not need forged pistons you just dont go wild with the nos use 25shots first

Where can you get it fitted for £800

a place in wishaw scotland called "the garage" http://www.the-garage.co.uk its normally cheaper but with the 300 being a v6 and having 2 throttle bodies it needs a twin kit i think

I found a kit for £514 for a v6

but you have to fit it your self

Just remember you'll need to keep refilling you bottle- try and find somewhere local that'll do it for you. Some of the big bottled gas co's like BOC wont supply it for a car....

On the other hand if you part ex for a TT the extra power will always be there and wont have run out when some tw*t in a scooby starts on you at the lights:rolleyes:

good point but it will always cost me a lot to run and insure.

I might be able to part ex mine at the site http://www.group20.co.uk

So far i am looking in to an electric supercharger. Bloke says i only need one so i think he is wrong!

the point5 i was trying to make was that surely getting a TT was much better than getting NOS on a non-turbo. i have a TT i am contemplating getting NOS or increasing the boost but many people have warned me of the dangers to the engine if it is not upgraded i.e. forged engines etc. correct me if i am wrong but if you install NOS or even upgrade the boost on a standard engine and knacker ityour engine surely its going to break the bank!!!

but the sounds of your message you have NOS or at least have experience. i would appreciate more info as i am also interested.

hi rc951 i just got rid of my 2+2 TT and got a 2+0 NA but i have a TT engine at that garage i mentioned getting a full rebuild with high performance internals as i am hoping to acheive about 700bhp so i agree with you hands down nos is no match for the twin turbo's but if the guy who started this thread is only looking for power now and then nos can be a very cheap and good modification to do but personally i think nos should be saved as a last resort cause as you said you can only use it for seconds whereas turbo's are always there i believe if your thinking of getting nos that your internals will be fine as long as you dont go mad with it but a boost upgrade would be more permanent power:)

If you get a UK TT the insurance would probably be about the same as an import NA

Back again

well my point is, is that it woill cost me quite abit to get my car changed for a TT including insurance and petrol (only 21)

Does nayone know of a person who will swap a TT for a NA and a little money???

I was think of nos to give me the power of TT without the costs

i got gavo's very good non turbo 2 seater plus around 2k cash for my twin turbo but only really cause i wanted a 2 seater did i do the deal but if yours is a 2+2 i cant really see anyone being intrested in parting with a twin turbo for a non turbo cause i know i drove gavo's non turbo up the A1 and it felt like it had the performance of a metro but i must admit it feels a lot better now:D

mine is a 2+2 so i am stuffed

I pay £500 cash as well

probaly best to sell your NA and then buy a TT:)

erm well i will look in to it!
