Guys probably a silly question but hey wtf. You guys have spent shit loads on yours cars, how do you get the insurance to recongise this?

For example if it got stolen they would normally only pay book price no matter what you say its worth, so if you spend 20k getting your zed sorted you don't want a payment back for 5k.

How do you get this sorted?

Hello Martin,

When I insured mine I asked for a gauranteed value whhich meant sending in photos and a signed declaration of what I'd had done to the car.

Vijay

This is something I'm trying to sort out at the moment.

My Z is only insured for £7K.

It cost me £9K 3 years ago and I've spent about another £9K on it since!

The problem I'm having is finding someone who will do imports with all the mods and a guaranteed value.

Who are you insured with Vijay and is yours an import?

Hello Chris,

No mines a UK and I'm with Livingstones.

Vijay

I did the same as Vijay. Firebond.

Cheapest car insurance I've ever had. I have declared everything!

Limited mileage though Martin which isn't a major problem for a 300 owner as they spend more time being fixed than driven over a twelve month period. ROFLMFAO :D
