If you are not prepared to pick up a gun and kill people then dont disrespect me for not wanting to kill people. It makes you look very one dimensional and, frankly, not really part of the discussion.

WELL ACTUALLY I SPENT TWO YEARS in the armed forces in South Africa, so i have been there done that, i spent 6 months in Katlahong as part of Riot squads, have seen all the nasty bits and bobs ect, point is i would go if i was called up. Im not English, so im not needed as such.

the only things that concearn me are that as soon and i reckon withing a couple of days of the war starting that there will be bombs going off and planes going down everywhere in our country and america, this thing has the possibility of massive reprocussions around the world.

The other thing that worries me is when the troops are in baghdad, on the streets, will the locals be happy to see them? like the french and dutch when liberated from the germans and hold out flowers?

 

Or , will the all be stood on street corners firing ak's and throwing stones. unfortunately i fear it will be the latter.

I am not anti everything as you imply.. I love America and have been lambasted here for saying as much, I just dont recognise the current administration as it UNELECTED.

That is all.

I do not live the high life nor take for granted the country in which I live. We do not have conscription. I pay huge sums to the government in Tax. I do not want this spent on Apache Gunships and Nuclear Submarines. I want it spent on making the world a better place. If that makes me a stinking hippy in the eyes of people on this forum, that to me says more about the way the people on this forum think than any reasoned discussion.

 

Here is what I think though, if people need to resort to personal insults simply because they have contrary opinions, then they are not part of the discussion.
