Just completed the last part of colour change to the dash lights.The main dash is ok but the clock and the air con displays are flourescent units so had to use micon filter. looks well cool now ALL illumination is red matches the stereo head unit display even done the auto box selector display total cost £3:00

I always fancied a blue illumination for the dashboard of my Z...I thought the standard white was disappointing for a car of it's class.Next time I will change the bulbs over, as someone else has done on this forum!

The later model cars have white dials with amber lighting at night!I would imagine it would be possible to locate a complete dial set from a later car, and swop them over!

I have seen in the states indiglo Blue/ Green

it's a new white dial kit in mph straight swap as it is made for the 300zx fitted is a switch to change the colour the bulbs light up from the Blue to the Green, cost is around $75.00, Smithy, I.O.M

I need a full UK speedo conversion so a colour change would be nice at the same time.

I've got a jap speedo limited to 120 with a mph sticker over the top.

Trying to work out my business mileage from kilometres is a pain in the arse too!

Changing the speedo is dead easy and I think the only true way to do it.In general it costs about £100 for the speedo from a breaker going (rate) and they are about I have converted both of my imports and spent maybe a few hours or so each time ringing around to find one.It stops the annoying 60 mph ping noise and you also get a lamp indicator to wire in your rear fog lights to

....Cool.To change the colour remove the bulbs and pull of the little blue rubber boot off them and paint with red or amber or green (whatever) glass laquer from B&Q it is supposed to be for that stained glass effect. I have done it to the key illumination and the auto box selector and glove box all dead easy.
