OK....I'm obviously missing something here...

Running Win 2KPro and my question is on the Address Bar. No matter what I click into, it only shows http://www.300zx.co.uk - no forum ID, no thread ID.

I've checked the options, deleted cookies, logged out etc etc and to no avail.

Any ideas?

I'm on NT4 and get the same thing.

I think it's because it's a PHP site rather than a HTML or ASP.

Can someone confirm this ?.

If you wanna know what page you are on right click and select properties, but you probably knew that already.

Have you got all the XP updates?

XP was not shipped with Java or Virtual Machine in Explorer, due to licenceing issues when it was shipped.

The XP updates could sort this out.

Work network - home is OK, but I'm on WIN ME there ( )

Proxy settings - I'm using an automatic configuration script over port 8001, but I don't really think it's those as on the other 3 forums on which I participate, the forum, thread and page ID are shown all the time.

I'll try the XP updates... :)

What happens if you right click and open a thread in a new window then browse the forum from that new window? Works for me ;)

It's the same for me - I assumed it's because the site (if you go to http://www.300zx.co.uk) is framed.. (the forum etc is in the lower frame, the "HOME FORUM RIDES FAQs LINKS" is in the upper frame)..

Oh, and..

If you browse to "www.300zx.co.uk/forums" initially, you get the full URL in the address bar every time, because that removes the frameset..

Yeah I too was gonna suggest the frames..... Clever Az... Good Az... Have a biscuit :D

Do you want these bits you desperately need to rescue that white shed on wheels of yours, or not? :P ;)

 Ok Ok Ok you can have a chocolate one then

Thankyou.. That's better, tis all I wanted in the first place.. :p :D

Talk about thread hijacking - this one really takes the biscuit :D:D:D
