I was just wondering because I have done it other cars without any problems.

I think it will be ok, if I leave the EGR solenoid still pluged the ECU will not detect it.

Just get a blanking plug from a plumbers and metal glue some pennies to the underside of the plenum

Took my EGR off incl the solenoid a year ago. Makes no difference to performance but eliminates a potential problem area.

Having said that, I have a non std chip. Dunno how the std chip would react ifyou diconnected the solenoid...
