Hi there guys, i am having problems insuring my twin turbo import which im due to pick up in two weeks time.

 

Does any one know of any insurance companies that will insure me. I am 29 and have 6 years no claims discount. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Nice one guys cheers, i will try them today. Cant believe ive been waiting ages for my car to arrive from Japan and now im so close to picking it up im having insurance problems. Liverpool victoria wont insure on the Z if you are under 30. BUGGER.

lifesure chamged their policy last year and now do 25, but not if a chip is fitted, so me still buggered. I need some by friday.

That's for a UK car, the import is about £100 more.

I go through AON in Dudley, West Mids. They are charging me £924 when others are quoting me £1500+. They were even cheaper than that, but I had an accident on my other car's policy last year.

 

Call them on 01384 552700. The policy I've got is called the Roadster scheme. I thnk I'd get it even cheaper still if the car was garaged...but it's not.

Just had a call from Lifesure for a price on insuring a UK 300ZX TT, which went like this;

 

"Is it an import?"

-"No it's a UK car"

"Oh. I thought the UK cars were just Turbo, and imports Twin Turbo"

-"Erm no, from 1990 they were all Twin Turbo"

"Oh. What colour is it?"

-"Black"

"Hmm. What's your best quote so far?"

-"About £1050 FC"

"Hmm. Nope, can't help you because of your age"

 

I almost laughed at the imports vs. UK cars bit!
