Dead easy.

Did the ECU end last night and the ABS tonight.

I'd recommend any of you try it yourself if you have a soldering iron.

Mine is a Jap import and the wiring is just as in the UK instructions supplied.

I'll test it out tomorrow ;-)

Hi,

If you change the internal settings via PC, please post your results. I don't understand half of them. I'm currently running with an extra 3% slip before low, med and high cut...

I would like to understand the straight line, launch and other settings???

BTW - To talk to it, I seam to have to boot a laptop with MSDOS or Win95/98 MSDOS mode before procomm will talk to it. Remember to use tracread to save the original config just in case!

My laptop runs W2K and consequently TRACREAD and TRACWRIT don't work. I'm waiting for Racelogic to send me a beta version of the windoze s/w. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have set the the wheel diameter to be 630mm, rather than the 550mm which seems to be the default. 630mm is appropriate for standard size wheels & tyres. I asked Racelogic about messing with the menu settings and they said that it was really intended for people setting up their own wheel speed sensors who wanted to make it super accurate. The default settings are fine for most applications.

Maybe you could email me when you get the beta program. For now, as I don't have a laptop myself I may actually rig it up to an old old old psionII for playing with settings!

Do you or have you found any documentation for the menu settings?

Have just completed fitting the TC to my mates MR2 Turbo -believe me the Z is a cinch in comparison. For a start all the wires are the right length - there has been a lot of cable making, crimping, soldering and taking apart of cars going on! Anyway, we have provided feedback to Racelogic and hopefully the next one will be easier ...

The only documentation regarding the menu settings is in the manual, however we have found Racelogic to be helpful, especially if you ask them sensible questions.

I won't pass on the s/w they send me to anyone, as I don't feel it my position to do so, but I will let y'all know how it goes, then if you have similar problems they will be able to assist with 'official' releases.

I've got Windows 2000 on my laptop but I just formated a Windows 98 boot disk on a PC at work and copied all the TC software to it. Just pop the floppy in and away you go...

Tested the TC in a damp car park tonight and it's amazing.

First switched it off and floored the throttle on full lock resulting in smoke and donuts!

Switched to Wet mode and tried the same - just circled safely with all rubber glued to the tarmac.

Now I know it's working I'm accelerating and powering out of wet corners with far more confidence already.

Just need to make sure I don't leave it switched off by mistake and then floor it round a tight bend!
