hello and good evening all should the rear fog illuminate when front fog switch is operated i have a jap spec 91 z if it should then fuses or bulb ? :confused: cully z

if you are talking about the fog light switch on the right hand bank of switces on the dash then that only works the front fog lights on a jap spec zed. The rear fog lights are on a seperate switch normally put under the dash at the right hand side. Jap spec does not have rear fogs as standard so are fitted so they will pass mot in this country.

Rear fogs are put on j specs in varions different ways, some use one set of the 4 rear brake lights, some use a couple of the reverse lights with red bulbs, and some screw a nasty halfords jobby to the bottom of the rear bumper and some just use a 'friendly mot tester!!

 

If you look under the panels in the boot at the back of the lights you may find some extra wires that may lead you to yours.

 

Also i have seen one where the front fog switch has been used but this made the front fogs inop as foglights and only worked as sidelights.

I have a jap spec z32,my fog lights are in the rear cluster, but my switch is an aftermarket jobby sitting under the steering wheel, the fog light switch on the right hand console only operates the front ones!.if you have a good look around there must be a seperate switch somewhere..!

yeah, i have a jap spec as well, the front fogs illuminate with the right hand console switch, the rear one is an aftermarket switch under the steering wheel, if you look around it must be their somewhere,otherwise you aint got one!!

I've got mine wired into 2 of the reverse lights, with a switch by the dash.
