brake band adustment

i have fitted a new brake brand...and forgot to adjust it before fitting box back on car.....i have found the adjustment screw and lock nut on top of box....does any know weather i have to screw it in or out to tighten it....it supposed to adjust the free play in the band......????

    I dont know, but prob in for tighter. I do know that they are very sensetive to adjustment, too loose and the engine £flares£ when it goes into the gear the band affects, too tight and it will burn it out....You need the correct adjustment. Not someones half guess
