Since having my zed ive always thought the MPG was pretty average 18 to 25 ish not great but its a 3 litre with two turbos so what do you expect.

 

Recently got new job, only 2 or 3 miles from home so the zeds bareley warm by the end of the run, also cold weather not helping to make it warm up, also leaving the turbo timer on 60 secs min and being lazy when theres ice on the car by letting it run till the heaters melt it.

 

So put 40 quid in last thursday and have got a gutting 190kms out of it, at 78.9ppl (optimax aswell!!!) by my maths thats 10.72mpg.

 

Wouldnt mind if it wasnt running right but apart from a slight blow on the exhaust, its sweet.

 

Having said that it could do 5 to the gallon and i wouldnt part with it!....now wheres that ice scraper?!!!

Most of my milage is to and from work about 3 miles and to and from my girlfriends which is about 2 miles.

Other trips are to the pizza place Tescos and such which are all under 4 miles away.

 

I have now got a Corsa as a 2nd car to do these trips and I will be getting 30MPG round town, which will help the bank out on the long run.

I hope you are taking these cars out on nice long motorway runs occasionally, it's doing them no good at all running rich for 99% of the journey times and never fully warming up.

 

2-3miles to work! Get a bloody moped and blacked out crash helmet, no one will recognise you and you'll save yourself a fortune!

Thats 25 miles down national speed limit roads. :D

Took it for a run today, put a tenner in and did nearly 100 kms, thats a happy 23 to the gallon:D ......

 

..... now wheres that copy of moped trader???!!!:D

Once had 7mpg out of the Zed.... Now that was fun! :D :D

When you meet a scooby - on roads you know - say by by to a 1/4 tank in about 20 minuets:( :D need new tyres now though:( , but worth it :D :D :D LaterZ, show room sucker! Was fun.
