Can anybody lend me a Techtom ?

I need to find out for certain whether mine is Donald Ducked or whether it's my ECU diag port. Have faffed around with this for ages now and have no conclusive proof either way, although I feel it in my water that the most likely cause is an intermittent problem with my Techtom.

Alternatively, anyone around my way-ish want to borrow mine for a week or so to confirm whether it works (or whether it damages their ECU diag port - LOL)

Would just be a bit easier if there was someone closer.

im in southend and was thinking of buying one.

I don't mind testing yours as long as its not likely to blow anything up :)

Andy, why not use a ConZult to check your diag port?

Think I may have fixed it. Took it apart yesterday (which is a bitch of a job, what with special security screws etc etc) and resoldered the wires that come in from the plug. Drove to work this morning and it didn't crap out in about 30mins, so the signs are looking promising. Hurrah !

LOL nice one;) I had a funny feeling you would pull it to bits:D

Yeah, also took my spare laptop apart in an attempt to fix the messed up screen - jeez how do they put so many bits in such a small space !?! Anyway, not so successul with that job - it's still rubbish .... :-( but at least I didn't have any bits left over !
