Hi

Cullyz

when i wanted to do this i was told to go to online manual and find page bf-30 that was last year, the forum has changed a bit since then! so dont no if this is still there!!.

Why dont you give Luke @ the z centre a call he sells the 300 workshop manual on cd for a tenner ,i got one and its brilliant.

He also sells the fibreglass copy of standard which i have and this flaky paint problem is eliminated

cheers

Dave

ps be prepared for rust!!!!!!!:D

Its flakey cos the spoiler is soaking water. Once it goes like that there is nothing you can do except put another spoiler on.

Cant remember the details of the removing the spoiler, but open the boot and unscrew the nuts under th boot lid in the corners. There may be 1 or 2 screws under the black plastic panels in the inside of the boot lid. remove them and have a look.

Then its a case of getting your fingers under the spoiler and pull it off.

cheers guys for the info much apreciated , whats the dosh for a fibre glass replacement? so if i do get it resprayed, the problem will reocurr? water retention in the actual spoiler i guess right ok cheers again cully z

No you won't get water retention in the fibre glass replacement from Luke at Z Centre. Its only the oem/the original spoiler that's made up of a spongey rubber material that when the paint work/seal around the spoiler deteriates and water gets in and then it goes off very quickly.

I've got the same problem and looking to do something. And my car is garaged! I can't make up my mind which spoiler to go for. I think its a waste just to put on the same design when you can go for the high level type.

Anyway best of luck.

Geoff.
