Any you guys had brake vibration? when I bought my zed front pads where jamming up and brakes wre crap dismantled cleaned and fitted new pads all ok for a week or so and had to do it again.the pedal was real hard to push with poor braking ok on an mot brake test though? once cleaned reseated ok all pistons free etc but now 1200 miles later when braking from 60+mph sterring wheel shakes, below this speed ok however when first out in morning ok for first 2 or 3 brake actions me think discs warp.. worse when hot? have measured run out when cold is about 0.05mm plus fair lip on them too is it time to bite the bullet and change the discs ? Vibration through the steering wheel is often a sign of warped discs, but the vibartion usually varies with the speed. Therefore, if you are moving very slowly and brake gently, then you feel the 'pulse' as the brakes bite, then release. That is certainly what mine did before I had the 6 week old disks skimmed. Not sure what else might cause your problem. The runout doesn't seem excessive, but I can't remember what the limits are without checking the manual. Also, if there is a significant lip on the disks then it might be worth checking the spec and replacing anyway. I think Warren (300z) found a place that was selling drilled Brembo's for a decent price. I have an email somewhere from him with the details.

Hi,

Don't forget to check out the Tension-rods too, if they need replacing (perhaps, due to the bushes) it can cause the same problem. I thought I had warped again, bought new ones and descovered it was the rods.

Check both options before you buy.

BTW - you can buy new bushes (non-nissan) if you don't want to buy the expensive adjustable after-market rods.

... and the super-duper Stillen bushes will be available from Johnny (he was talking about a Stillen-style group buy recently !)

Or Courtesy Nissan if he doesn't get around to it ....
