Morning, Punters!

Looking for a Speedo Cluster for my 95 TT. Current one is fine but has a DIY hack to convert it to MPH (stick on speedo dial which doesn't light up properly).

I know @JaiKai was offloading his rolling shell but not sure if he kept the clocks!

What’s actually wrong with your clocks? Because the speedo converter is wired into the input wires for the Speedo…. If it’s just the converter, there’s no need to change the clocks

Also on the series 4 clocks you need to make sure your not pulling power for the convertor off the clock light circuit.

The dimming of the dash lights will reduce the voltage and the speedo will not work properly.

Nick, noting wrong with the clocks except ... an aftermarket speedo dial has been stuck on and the lighting it all wrong. The speedo does nto show up in the dark...pictures to follow!

If the clocks don't need changing, then I won't! Still in the "advice" phase of ownership!

It was not may "handiwork", this is how it came to me!

Here is the dash with lights on and lights off

I will take a picture of the back of the clocks when the Mrs is "out". If she sees me heading into the Garage with a screwdriver, I will need a trip to A&E to remove it...

That looks like just a cover plate over the speedo, you should be able to remove it. The cut out at the bottom part of the Speedo is for earlier model Z’s that had a boost gauge there (that 1995’s don’t have).

I’d certainly investigate how that cover has been attached and see if it’s removable

The series 4 internals are completely different, but there is a few designs that do support the boost gauge as mine has one.

The black faceplate is not part of the main chassis and comes off after the casing is split.

My series 4 cluster is a nismo.

@JaiKai - when you say "mine" do you mean yours to keep, or might it be for sale (from the rolling shell) ?!?!?

Sorry I meant mine as out my purple zed.

Those are old pictures when I had the clocks out last.

The rolling shell might be rebuilt next year depending on a few things.
