Just loaded onto ferry at Dover off at Calais onto Abbeville

The hotel was a Logis Hotel& Restaurant de l’ Aerodrome de la Baie de Somme

This mornings weather was not good so at 11 am we decided to take a slow route back to Calais

looks great to see the car out eating up the roads! Did you need to do much to ensure the car was road legal in France?

I haven't driven over there since having a car that didn't need any prep between UK and Europe.

Hi there, just the usual things no big deal.

I don’t bother with headlight deflectors as I don’t drive at night.

Things I’d do & take: Magnetic UK sticker, light bulbs, 2 yellow jackets ( in the car not in the boot), warning triangle & paper copy of car insurance, driving license.

My AA membership (Gold) covers me for 3 short trips abroad per year breakdown. If I go for longer I take out their 5 ***** star breakdown for piece of mind.

Plus all the usual stuff before, tyres,washer,water,oil,brake & hycas fluids & daily check whilst away.

It also helps being 6 miles from ferries & 6 miles from Eurotunnel 😀

Just booked ferry trip to France this Saturday 13,45 again 👍
