Hiya,

I think I'll be about to sell my Zed soon, but after reading the note on the Help and Advice Forum, I'll need to become a member befor I can post. I just wondered if anyone can tell me what it costs to join, so I can post my ad?

Cheers

Nice one. I have some work I need to do on it first, so I can get the MOT done. Nothing major.....just fuel leaking onto the engine, and emissions troubles!! Nice cheap job, that last one!

fuel leaking onto engine is quite major :)

well you will think so when the fire brigade are scraping your ahses out your cockpit.

I know....I was being sarcastic when I said nothing major.

I think it's a leaking fuel line that seems to stop leaking when the engine warms up. I'm taking it to Jeff TT at the weekend, provided I make it that far! It's not being driven at the moment, so I'm hoping I can make the 30 miles there.

Actually, one of you guys might know something about this.....I took it for an MOT, just at a regular garage (the one that services my Mondeo!). He said the emission problems were because the catalytic convertor (not sure if he mean't just one or both) were sucking in air, or something like that?? I would have though that the problem would be if they were blowing air?? Still, I'm no mechanic....

anyone ever heard of anything like this before?

Well, to be honest I don't really want to, but at the moment it sits on the driveway while I do a 110 mile round trip to work every day in a Mondeo.

It just seems like the best idea so that I don't lose a whole heap of money on depreciation and insurance (it's not the cheapest on insurance!). I was going to sell it and get something standard and cheap to run (I know I know...it'll never be the same), then whatever is left over can go towards my house deposit.

Mind you, I can't sell it while it needs work doing, so I'm getting that done first, then if I still feel the same way afterwards, then, reluctantly, it will have to go.

Tis a shame....

We're building up quite a contigent in the Midlands now... :)
