Firstly, AT LAST - the site's working again!

Secondly, picked my car up from PPS on Saturday - eventually!

Here's the story....

Basically I booked the car in for the round light swap and the addition of a mid level rear wing back in October! There has been disaster after disaster over the suppliers of the wing and I have waited and waited.

Eventually, I took the car in at the end of Jan - supposedly the spoiler would turn up the following week. I went skiing, came back and .... no spoiler. Suppliers had let Pete down AGAIN!!!

3 weeks passed and I really needed my car back. The lights and tailgate skin were there... just no spoiler. Soo.... I agreed with Pete that he'd paint up the lights and tailgate skin and we'd put the spoiler on at a later date.

I went along to pick the car up on saturday and I was amazed!! It looks AWESOME with the smooth back and no rear wing. Makes the car look longer, there's a real ferrari look to the back and it just looks REALLY GOOD! (Obviously Pete did a cracking job fitting the bits as usual).

I think it was Clarkey who once said he preferred the smoothed off look. Very astute young man!

Pete himself was saying how he'd do his own zed like mine because he liked the look so much and I agree. I'm well happy with it and have changed my plans as to what i'm going to do next. I was going to go aggressive (a la Macca's-ish (which was at PPS when I picked the car up actually)) but now I'm going to go for a different look. Smooooooooooth.

A smoother rear bumper, skirts and nose perhaps and I'll have one of the best looking Zeds out there!! (IMO - LOL)

Just need to find the kit I like. Oh, and a twin exit exhaust - mine's a single exit Kakimoto racing exhaust which sounds lovely (all 6 cyclinders into 1 pipe) but it makes the back look very unbalanced. Although it sounds so good I might actually just get a dummy pipe for the other side (shhhhhh!).

Will post pics when I can find someone with a digital camera to do the car justice!

(ps. get even more kids hanging out of car windows now i've got the round lights! :D )

Told ya so ;)

lack300 has his car like that, saw it at Billing and loved it. Some people say that without the rear spoiler it doesnt feel as stable at high speed, what do you think?

hmmmm... high speed stability... not really noticed any different but then I haven't gone that fast since I picked it up.

Had it up to about 115 a few times prob but have to be very careful with my err... checkered past...

Will let you know if it tailslides me off the umm.. private road at 155mph. But then, you'll probably read about it in the papers!!

I'lll tell you what though - it makes the boot a hell of a lot easier to lift! It's just about a one handed job now!! LOL.

I've got a HKS Drager 6-into-1 pipe on mine which I love the sound of too.

I'd thought about putting a dummy pipe on the other side to balance the looks

but thought I was being a plank!!

Is this a viable (ie affordable) option?

Has anyone out there done it?

Aha, someone else with a Kakimoto exhaust ! I thought I was alone :) Does look strange from behind though.

i also have a kakimoto racing exhaust,on a car i have just imported.....bloody loud or what:eek: only problem is that it does make the other side of the car look odd...
