Water !!

Guys,

Popped out in the Z tonight and the second fan came in after a few miles no warm air out of the vents spotted the gauge move off the norm so i stopped the Z at once!!!!!.

All the water had gone?????got some water from a pub and got the Z home without any movement on the gauge.

As i put the water in, it slowly disappears and still no warm air, whats happening? no sign of it underneath.

It must be going some where.

Wait until its dry and then try again, you should be able to see where its leaking from then.

Obviously the water must have been lost somewhere in the first place, but a Z takes loads of water to fill, i can remember when i did mine i was just pouring and pouring and pouring.....

Ok, i,ll have a look tomorrow cos it's howlling out side at the momment:(

park over white sheet :) never fails for me,

in this weather it may be a bit useless though

Hmmm, dont think driving all over your best white sheet is gonna go down well with who ever does the waching. Just dont leave any skid marks on it . ;) WHOOO I'm too funny.

Cooling system is nearly 10L btw, lots of water, takes a long time to fill..

Quickest if you have the front of the car higher than the back, and remove the bleed screw (LHS top of rad, don't lose it like I did!!)

And don't forget some coolant in there as well, we have freezing temps now for a start, you don't want to spit a core plug out! Nor do you want your cooling system turning to rusty mush..
