Manual Gearboxes

Hi All,

To anyone who's looking for Z32 manual gearboxes for a conversion job, www.japaneseautos.co.uk (01995 605181) reckon they have a few manual boxes for about £200 - £300 - bargain, you could afford an overhaul too. They also have some imported gearboxes with warranty.

If this is't 100% true please don't shoot the messenger :-\ I just came across them while I was trying to find some clutch servo hoses and check valve - BTW, anyone have these spare??

This place is only about 10 mins from where I live.

Spoke to the fella about some other bits I'm after and whilst he didnt have em he was really freindly and helpful!

Hmm...maybe it depends who you speak to. Were those the imported, warrantied ones?? He said they were more expensive.

JaiKai - MK2 - Ziggy Build

Moving on to the air conditioning.
This felt like it took me an age to get the pipe work back in, never seen such a complicated setup of pipes.
think i've managed to get them all in place however i've discovered that the aircon evaporator is bent and i cant get it to bolt back in on one side.

I'm now looking out for options to retrofit a newer aircon system.

Tyre size recommendations

I have some after market wheels on my Zed and all the tyres have perished so before it goes for its MOT at the end of the month im looking for new tyres.
The wheels are 17" and are staggered, with a 9.5j at the rear and 8j at the front.
The current tyres on the rear are 255/40/17 and a 235/40/17 on the front.

Now ive only been able to find one tyre at 235/40/17 so I want to change so I can get a decent brand, but which way do I go.
I dont want stretched look, I want a nice flat side wall look so thinking of a 245, but would this be too chunky.
The other question is if I go up a size on the front, should I also then go up on the back? Or will it not matter?
Any help would be gratefully received!

MOT time again

Last year went by very quick, my zed was also due this month, it's first MOT in my ownership.
Thankfully passed, slight oil leak as well (I have been keeping an eye on). Unfortunately some corrosion underneath too which will need sorting.
Hoping to make the trip down to Powerzed in the near future to get the car checked properly and prepped for a good year of driving and enjoying the beast.

Suggestions for Potential Valved Exhaust

Hi everyone just a quick question on valved exhausts.
I had one on my golf R and it was a game changer that allowed me to have a bit of fun when on a decent drive by myself, but reign it in when I have more reserved passengers or driving in places where I don't want to be a dick and ruin peoples day.
So was just wondering if anyone has much experience of getting these for the 1992 Z32 TT platform?
Aware there probably isn't an off the shelf option, but potentially any trusted fabricators who do good work in this area? I know Jim at PowerZed trusts the team in the unit by him to do a lot of exhaust work so they were my initial first thought, but may as well open up the question just in case there are some other great options out there too.
Long term intent as I get other work done will likely result in an aftermarket ECU so that could solve the issue of valve control, otherwise potentially a bluetooth controller would work I assume for simple open/close.
