Did you get Classic insurance with A-Plan? If so what where the terms and conditions?

Im with them at the moment, and they beat every one elses quote by £90 or so. Every one else gave me a quote then asked what my lowest was then requoted. A-plan where cheapest straight out and I phoned about 10 places.

Stuart

It was a limited mileage 10,000 miles per year not a classic ins, the car is an import with mods as well.

Qoutes that other people gave for full comp with 4 yrs no claims were around £1600 to £1700 ( I live in a high post code area ) A-plan came back with £1079 also with a lower excess e.t.c.

give Dorset Insurance a ring on 01202-302 888, they've given my the best deal so far with a low excess and don't mind mods.

James

Just done an online quote with Liverpool Victoria gave them same details as A-Plan and they came up with £610 so as I have not taken insurance with a-plan I may go with L.V

http://www.liverpoolvictoria.co.uk

I am impressed with that just got a quickie off them, between £600 and £800 i'll be speaking to them when my policy is due!!:D

Just phoned Liverpool Victoria

I thought that it was to good to be true they won't insure the car their web site is wrong.

Ho Hum :(

try carole nash they do a good classic insurance (second car no need to use your NCB ) lookon google

Andy

TRIDENT gave me the best quote mate £1100 fully comp with 11 points age 24 if not ADRIAN FLUX are good these are good companys if you have a import good luck

I'M 56.I have 3x sp30s,current(within 5 yrs)

With Protected £600 excess

Phone:---Direct Motor Line---0800 0378883

Have FUN!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, I'm with lifesure too.

31

full no claims, protected

ipswich

360 quid, fully comp.

my pigging mundano 2.5v6 costs me 150 quid more to insure !!

Liverpool and victoria will quote but only if you are over 30.

I had to hunt hard to get an affordable policy for an import with mods, but finally went with Tett Hamilton who were cheapest by over £300.

Sadly, if I'd kept schtum about the mods I could have saved an additional £800 !!!!!

The best advice is phone everyone, different companies have different deals and all our details are different!

Good luck.

AON were and still are the best quote i had for my 300 even though its uk spec, it wasnt much dearer with them for an import 300.

I checked out the Classic Insurance route, the only quote i had was for about £400 without using my NCB, 6000 miles a year, and no commuting to work, which wasnt any use for me as I use my 300 for work even though its local.

Anyone got any classic quotes not restricting the use in this way??

Cheers John Crisp

Try NORTON (do a search it's been mentioned b4 on here I think) if your car is >10yrs old and you have another car in your name.

Norton Insurance (Tel. 0121 246 5050)

IIRC AON are the underwriters for the Lifesure 'classic' policy, which does permit travel to/from work ?!?

CM

in the end i went with quoteline direct 633.00

ive now just bought a new clio and the cheaky gits said to swap the zed is 167 quid cheaper WTF

as my car dont run i thought id cancel the policy and move to anther cheaper policy for the clio, then get a clasic lower mileage policy for the zed later.the gits now want a massive cancelation fee.ba5tards

who does the best policy for low mileage zed classics insurance?

OK stupid question is there no Z club insurance like there is RS Insurance, MG Insurance? no itty bitty nissan insurance?

Vijay spent a lot of time looking for this a few months ago. The problem is that there aren't enough Zs to interest insurers / brokers. OTOH The MGOC is the biggest one-make car club in the world and they run their own insurance brokerage to make money for the club. RS insurance I don't know but there are squillions of things with RS on the back.

Even if you did find a broker who would give (say) a 5% discount, you'd probably find an even better price by ringing round.
