June 21, 200124 yr Hi People,I did the right thing and bought a 90TT (import) Stock at the moment, I was just wondering what areas you guys/girls are in as Z's are quite rare Cheers
June 21, 200124 yr Do you mean where do we live? In Zland of course, me? North Wales for two days and Stevenage for the other 5. Welcome by the way Jay! Tim ;-)
June 21, 200124 yr Thanks Tim, I was getting a bit bored with the American Z chat, until I found this site! they talk about Honda's all the time over there! What Z you got? ps...ZLand is Very expensive to live in!
June 21, 200124 yr Welcome to Zland Jay!! It fun but as you say expensive....but as they say (I don't know who it was ) You only get what you pay for... And fook it....My car is the muts nuts... Nuff Said.... BTW....elloooo' Timothy...LMAO Matty.
June 21, 200124 yr Oooohps, Forgot to say....I am in 'The' very sunny Birmingham.... ...Hence the roof's off my Z... Oh happy days.... Matty.
June 21, 200124 yr Alright Matty geeZer, Good to see that you sorted out your probs over the weekend mate, dodgey A/C compressor eh? Better that than something more critical...like the ENGINE! Have you got another one lined up yet? Or is it open top glory for the rest of the summer? Jay, Yanks are off their trolleys about cars, I know what you mean, I can stand about 10 minutes on some of the forums. Plus they get very aggressive with each other on tech. terms! SAD! Zland is OK price wise, some things can be expensive...depends largely on what you need at the time! Don't go near Main Dealers unless you can help it. There are lots of nice peeps on here that can help out with technical issues and point you in the right direction for advice. Check out the contacts link, Johnny at GPS is a highly respected member of the Z community and we are all his children! LOL! He gets the best deals for most stuff, exhausts, wheels, turbos, bodykits etc. etc. Luke is a good guy also, he runs the Z centre in Notts. SE-Nissan in Essex, Pete R runs this place and is also very good with all Nissans. But you'll get the idea of how good this forum is after a couple of weeks. Enjoy! Tim ;-) P.S. I have a 1991 UK spec. Zanussi Twin Tub which has been off the road with problems for 8 months now. I am waiting to get her back from SE in Essex. Engine is being rebuilt and probably gearbox also. Have driven my car for a few weeks out of 8 months though...so there is some plus!
June 21, 200124 yr Another new member This forum gets better and better Good to see you here Jay - u r right about the americans I live near sunny Preston and so have no use for air con The weather here is so crap at the moment! Anyway, gotta break the habbit of a lifetime and do a bit of work now, might see you around later. CheerZ, Andy
June 21, 200124 yr Thanks for the welcome guys...glad to see I'm not the only one who's been off the road! had my baby 3 day's and the rad blew! Nissan quoted £700!!!! I took it back to the dealer and he did it for free...BTW I'm in crappy Wimbledon, and looking forward to the tennis as it brings lots of lovely chicks to the area (time to pose I think!)
June 21, 200124 yr JayZ, a radiator for a 300ZX from a main dealer should only be about 300quid including VAT and fitting. I'd keep well away from anywhere which would charge you £700. I'm in North London (near Finchley). Andy
June 21, 200124 yr Andy...... I think they just did'nt want the job/ know what the hell they are doing?! I had to replace two rad pipes also, they kept saying its imported and they have to get parts from Japan!........Muppets. ps anywhere in london to get cheap parts?
June 21, 200124 yr Andy, CheerZ for setting that one straight(RAD), my heart nearly stopped then...700 large...shit...I need one on mine. Pete will no doubt be sourcing it from somewhere, and hopefully won't charge me 700 quid for one. Nelson Mandelas(Nissan Main Dealers), RIP OFF MOTHERS! A relieved Tim Turbo Trousers ;-)
June 21, 200124 yr Hey Tim, Whats up with your rad??? I had mine go and got it fixed for £20 Even a recore would only have been £120!!! Let me know if you need any more info bud - I filled my pants too at the cost of a new rad Just to back up about nissan main dealers - DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM!!! Ask on this forum first if you have a problem - you'd be surprised how many problems at first seem major and turn out to be something very simple. If we can't help here, we can point you in the right direction towards someone who actually knows the cars Just a thought on the radiator.... What is the problem with it? I remember about two months ago there was a member who had been told by a Nissan Main Dealer that he had to have his engine rebuilt (at silly money aswell ) because the car was overheating. Eventually he took it across to Hiteq at Wigan who gave (yes gave!!!) him a replacement rad cap - problem was solved!!! The worst point about this one was that even after a rebuild the engine would have still overheated Sorry to go on but I haven't exactly had the best experiences with them either CheerZ, Andy
