Hi,

I've had a little wierd problem on my Zed ever since I bought it two years ago now.

If I'm cruising at say 60mph and then give it some throttle, my engine temp needle will dip down sometimes upto a centimeter, but when I've finished accelerating it sits back at the usual, just below the middle point.

Oh and the thermostat was replaced as part of a full up rebuild around 8 months ago.

Any ideas?

Ben.

check the temp guage sender push on terminal - the little one next to the big one for the ecu.

Mine was slackish with some fine oxide on it and would make the needle jerk around as the temp warmed up to normal - cleaned and re connected now smooth and consistent.

Don't know from a technical point of view, but from a practical one, mine did this just before it puked the water from the cooling system! I pulled over and re-filled the system to limp to my destination. Once there, I re-filled it properly, made sure there was no air trapped and it's been fine ever since (over 10,000km's)

HTH

Cheers
