Is it me or is the stock horn pretty pants?

Anyone fitted aftermarket horns, air or other wise with the standard air box?

See if only 1 horn is working. Most horns actually have 2 horns a low pitched one and a higer pitched one. If 1 doesnt work they sound pants.

My horn is very good.

Stuart

i have NISMO horns and they are waaay better. the stock ones dont work very well.

I keep getting spammed about tablets you can get to improve your 'horn'. Maybe try one of those?:D :D

While looking under the bumper last night I found my horns LOL.

Grey ones just in front of the inter coolers are these stock ones ?

These are horns right because if you tell me they are recirc's I'm going to look pretty stupid ;)

Why does it come as no suprise that Warren has upgraded his horn!

This does raise the question as to why Nissan Motorsport found it necessary to develop, manufacture and market an upgraded horn? I know that a Magic Tree significantly raises the power output of any engine but what are the quoted figures for horns? Do they have to be fitted in twos, and what, if any, are the benefits of air horns over the mechanical variety?

Sorry, just having an afternoon like that!

well they sound like ferrari horns (to give you an idea- it sounds like you have been kicked in the ganoobies :D:D) but its far louder than the stock thing that goes phhmmmttt..... and then dies lol.

as far as power upgrade goes, i recon you get at least the equivalent of 6 bhp :D

ive got air horns :D

i have attached them to the under tray in the nose bit but ive keeped the stock ones as well so i have 4 horns so that must equal about 8 hp more dont you think :D

I find crumbling up Viagra tabs and mixing it with Optimax, Octane Booster (must be the Nos one) and cut up bits of Magic Trees works a treat!

Easily gives you 1000bhp extra and a big horn.

Are air horns like penile vacuum pumps, Macca want to know!

people laugh at my horn :( it is seriously embarrising and i have air horns. gonna change them out as soon as body work is complete

Derek and Clive would be proud, gawd rest um

:)

Not tried my horns yet!

I'm usually going too fast to release the grip on the wheel :D

Beside at the speed of sound you won't hear them:p

When the Nissan board sat around the big oval table (that's an assumption) thrashind out the finer points of the Z32, I think we can all agree that they got it, on the whole, pretty much spot on; 3 ltr twin turbo, T-top for sun fun and body ridgitity, drop dead good looks, go faster red paint formulation (I made that one up) but right at the bottom of the sheet of paper, in teeny weeny writing the following was scrawled:

'oh, it better have lights, but as noone will drive it at night, they need not be very good, it better have an audable warning device for other road users - make the exhaust louder and fit crap electric horn, as not necessary as everyone will be looking anyway'

Just reading between the lines :D

Tim

In the interest of road safety (and cos it sounds sh1te) I ripped out my 300 horn and replaced it with one from a tranny van:D

Not only does it sound better but its about half the weight , thus knocking valuable1/10s off my 1/4 mile times;)
