Well Silverzed,

its not a sexist car but guys think gals can't handle speed! My other half drives mine and certainly makes it throb!

On the subject of servicing - any experienced mechanic who is good and thorough can look after it.

Vicky this is no suprise most Nissan dealers know nothing about the 300zx, you should do a search and read some of the horror stories

Your best bet is to get the 60k service kit from courtesy parts:

(I paid around £260 with fuel filter) and ring simon who will fit, check and replace brake fluid and advice on other jobs required. I was charged £370 for labour including brake fluid replacement, oil. etc.

Total cost £630 and a great job done.

Hope this helps

Which TVR Vicky ? I went the other way - 300zx to a Chimaera.

Hairsy - 350i - loved it to bits but very unreliable, got fed up with bits falling off- and im not kidding!!

maybe a tuscan one day - but this beast ive just got makes the 350i pale in comparison:D

I'd love a Tuscan too. The Chimaera was 100% reliable but it cost an absolute fortune in servicing to keep it reliable. The Z is much better value. But the wrong noise !

Mine was a 4 litre and it was a perfect performance match with Craig's Z (slightly modded). Craig and I had some fun that morning ...
