I've found a local engineering company who will skim my warped slotted and cross drilled disks for £8.00 each.

Sounds like a bargain to me.

If they do a good job then post the details for all to see.

Thanks

I remember reading several posts on twinturbo.net that said something like, "There's no point getting the discs skimmed unless they are done on the car"

Try a search before you go ahead. I can't remember exactally why.

jez.

I've just had mine done, the reason its a risky job is because they normally have to do one side at a time. But as you all know what I do for a living, I had a tool made to do both sides of the disc at ONCE!!!

Thus being perfect and parallel.

The company who skimmed the discs was

Willis Engineering in leighton Buzzard (Beds)

His No' is 01525-851218 Ring him if you need it done for around £30+vat.

He did mine and they had plenty of meat on them you will need to find out what the minimum limit is as I don't know either!

BTW - He is probably retiring next year

then the tools mine - ha.

harve.

My Z was in the garage for some other stuff doing and they said they could skim em on the car so I took that option.

Called later that day to see if it was ready and they had had to take the disks off and send somewhere else. Ended up costing £50.00 and they are just as bad as ever.

Wish I'd tried the £8.00 guy.
