Hi all,

 

newbie on the block. I have just today bought my first 300zx... and I haven't stoped grinning since I picked it up !!!!

 

It's a '91 Jap import, 2 seater (not 2+2) manual. The only mods I can determine are a dump valve, and 3 spoke alloys.

Body work is in near mint condition, inside a few missing bits and pieces, which leads me to a question:

 

Anybody know the best (and cheapest) place to get replacement switches/buttons for the dash?

Also the handle on the drivers seat to move the seat-back forward has snaped off.

 

And finally the fog light bulbs have gone. Can I replace these with the usual lights, or do Jap imports have different spec's?

I think the best thing for the seat handle that has snapped off is take the seat out and wheld another handle on. You cant see it anyway.

 

I am not sure about the lights. I know that the headlight bulbs are different, but are easily converted to H3, but the fogs I have no idea.

do the 2 seaters not have electric drivers seats? Im pretty sure all the 2+2's have them as standard?

 

Anyway as Stu says, AndyZ will almost deffinatly have the part you need :)

I can't comment on all 2 seaters, but this one has an electric drivers seat and a manual passengers.

 

The handel on the drivers seat that I'm missing is the one that folds the back forward so that you can get behind it (reading my previous post I don't mean the one that moves he whole seat forward - your right that's elec)

 

I guess it's a standard seat same as used in the 2+2.

 

I've em-ailed AndyZ, just waiting to see if he's got any.

Jeez as the driver of the vehicle i make a point of never letting people out my side of the car ;)

 

they can never fit behind me anyway!!! I suppose the japs are tiny and this may have caused excessive wear on this part
