Hi All

Whilst searching for the still illusive idle adjustment screw I came across these two plugs going nowhere!

1) Does anyone know what they are? They are adjacent to the auto gearbox dipstick (see photo).

2) Does anyone have a picture where the idle adjustment screw is located on 1991 TT.

Thanks in advance

Martin

Are you using an aftermarket boost controller? The black one could be redundant from the stock boost solenoids if so.

The Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) can just about been seen with the green arrow in the pic below. The adjustment screw is on the side looking at it from the battery. It’s a little bit tucked away!

Thanks Joely - I will have a better look in the morning for the idle control screw. New coil packs, injector plugs and spark plugs have cleared the lumpy running but I am left with a high (1400rpm) warmed up idle. Haven't adjusted the idle for 20 years and has always been rock steady at 800ish so not convinced that is the problem. No Consult errors. Any thoughts appreciated.

I am not using an aftermarket boost controller so leads are still a mystery.

Thanks again Martin

I know exactly what those two plugs are but il be damned if I can find the memory.

One is for Air Idle valve, common delete and Nissan themselves removed them on later cars if I remember correctly.

The second. I can’t remember but EGR rings a bell.

I think the high idle will be the hard idle switch being stuck on, that wont be the screw, you just need to reset it mate.  Simple to fix as ots normally just a case of following the procedure.  Itll be a grey (I think) plug next to the TPS mate.
