I’ve heard of this from another forum member @Aff68, who I believe was going to delete the PTU in his engine build.

Aff can fill you in on details. I did a quick google search and saw this harness from Polar Engineering which you use with ‘smart’ coils from either the Audi R8, R35 GTR etc https://www.polarengineering.co/product-page/polar-engineering-vg30-rb25-ignition-chip-ptu-bypass-harness

Assume this needs mapping in with your aftermarket ECU.

Yes @Raja93 mate. I'll be going with the R35 GTR coil conversion using Polar Engineering PTU delete harness. The dwell angle will need to be adjusted accordingly. I'll also be using the BDE cam and crank sensors to modernise the ignition system.

Further details on the R35/VR38 coil packs for Z32s can be found here. PE did the ground work with BDE providing the hardware.

AFAIK the PE PTU delete harness is the same as the BDE one.
