Gearbox help PLEASE

Hi all,

Just refitted my gearbox after changing the clutch but im not sure its working correctly.

SHould the drive shaft (seen form the back of the gearbox where the propshaft connects) always be spinning?

It seems to stop when i put the clutch down which i assume is correct

just need a little help on this as i'm physically and mentally  broken after getting the gearbox back on

    The oil in the box will spin the cogs in a sort of  fluid drag way, even in neutral if the prop is not fitted.
