We are planning a meetup and drive on Sunday 30th October 2022. This will be the last one of the season, so dust off your covers, pull on those clothes, start your car and get your arse in gear....!

We are going to meet about 8am on Eastbourne seafront for a meet and greet, then set off on a little route I have planned on some nice roads to Rykas Cafe in Box Hill where we will have lunch. People can then drive home at their own leisure. 

Parking on Eastbourne Seafront can be a pain, but 8am on a Sunday should be ok if we meet more towards the western end past Western Gardens and the Wish Tower. Ill try and get there early and nab some spaces for us.

I'm a provisional "yes" but will let you know nearer the time. I'll look at staying in Eastbourne on Saturday, rather than drive down early Sunday morning - and would head home from Box Hill after lunch.

How would people feel about starting earlier to miss the traffic? Maybe meet at 8am. Last thing I want is for us to follow Sunday drivers everywhere....

I'm potentially in. I've also mentioned to Andrew offline and he's potentially interested. I would recommend meeting up earlier as by 9am, the roads will be filled with cars and cyclists.

When I do drives in this area, I usually set off around 6-7am and am done by 9-10am with the last part idling behind slow moving traffic.

Let's meet at 8am then

Best to meet earlier yes, roads are rammed by 9-10am down our end.

Whilst I am still a provisional "yes" I would be staying in Eastbourne the night before, so will happily meet at 8.

Like last weekend, how nice was it to head out after breakfast and enjoy the roads, before the world and his dog awoke ?

I have booked a hotel for the Saturday night - so Julia and I are a definite "yes!"

And by coincidence, it is right on the seafront, so we won't have too far to travel in the morning ? 

We can meet up for dinner and a few drinks the Saturday night as well. Ian will be in Eastbourne Saturday night too

Weather isn't looking great for Sunday....
