Hi all,

so I have been chasing a problem for which seems like a long time now and starting to pull my hair out.

car is a 1992 tt manual

i have changed plugs, done compression test, rear main seal, all boost leaks sorted, cleaned all electrical connections, checked all coil packs, checked tps, cas, idle control.

basically car runs fine but idles high like over 1300 rpm and I have no adjustment to lower the idle on idle control valve as it’s maxed out.

car is smooth running but seems underpowered, boost is showing on guage and fine but there is. NO urgency when boosting drives like an n/a.

once warmed up and been driving say 5 minutes the car smokes a lot especially when trying to boost them when you slow coming to a round about for instance there is a lot of smoke. Off of boost there doesn’t seem to be smoke but after a drive at idle car smokes a ridiculous amount for a minute or so then stops. Absolutely stinks in the car aswell.

car is absolutely standard apart from Veilside exhaust
