As title states, my 300zx spun a bearing. Its torque converter went out the same day so I need a new tranny AND it needs a new diff! I wish I was kidding as this does sound like a joke, but I'm not. I'm not from this country (U.S. guy here) so I don't have a good connection of people that are into cars like I had in The States. I live in the area of Huntingdon and I'm just wondering what I should do / where should I go to get my repairs done? To give some reference on how bad the problem is, when we cut the oil filter open, it looked like the whole bearing was trapped in there. Thankfully that meant the filter did an amazing job doing it's job, because we got hardly any metal on our magnet when searching the pan. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me like I could get away with either getting a new crank and piston/conrod set and doing a swap or having the crank (Polished?) and getting new bearing that are thicker than OEM? If these options turned out to be non viable though, where would be the best place to source an engine and have it swapped at? I know I'm asking quite a few questions, but I just have no idea where to go from here.
