My rear 300ZX panel has stopped lighting up.

I think the resistor has failed? Can someone shed a light on what is required? No pun intended ?ย

Mine is red!? So weโ€™re do I get a new 12v power driver/inverter?

12V Adapter Driver Controller Inverter For 1-5M El Wire Electroluminescent Li C+ | eBay

Ebay, something like that.

Cheaper but a longer wait, if you want it shipping from China.

The cig plug can be snipped off, the positive and a ground/negative wire will remain.

Is there a lump on your 'block'ย where it might have blown ? A loose connection ?

And check that the inverter is getting 12v and I'll presume this is when you turn your sidelights on.

That is exactly what is needed, thank you.

just ordered.

it looks like the old one has over heated as the casing has melted!

I think Iโ€™ll put a fuse on it.

These I'd call aftermarket are not a patch on the original OEM inverter that Altia supplied to that rear panel, massive size and weight difference, cheap Chinese rubbish you could say but I don't see an alternative, it's to convert 12v up to 110v btw.

Putting in a simple in line fuse will do no harm, just have to hope this is the fault and not the red sheet inside, does point it being though.
