I have taken the battery out of the Z to charge it.

always had batteries where you take out plugs when charging 

this battery I cannot see any vents  & do not want to put on charge in case it explodes 

any help what to do?

Get a 10mm drill bit and put some holes in yourself, about 8 should suffice, then sleep well knowing it's on charge ?.

Then when you fit back in the car, just cover the holes with some brown parcel tape ?. 

I'm being naughty today, joking of course, get it charged, there will not be an issue, it's getting 14.4 charge whilst on the car.

most batteries are sealed these days so just charge as normal, my z is currently on a trickle charger, thats left on 24/7 over winter

The car's alternator will have been charging harder than you battery charger.
