Hi

Changed the fuel filter on my Jap import today you get petrol all over however careful you are!!!

Question: when removing the filter found long plastic tube insert in the petrol out side of the filter, reminded me of the same on my previous import 2 years ago, the Nissan filter does not come supplied with one so is it a jap thing or are you supposed to swop it over to the new filter? have left it out at moment runs ok ? ANY THOUGHTS?

have you tried changing filter after removing pressure out of fuel tank, first unscrew cap and replace it. "T".....

He he, what a coincidence, I just replied to the same

question on the Australian forum.

Just toss it, I did...

We don't need any fuel restrictors in a TT...

Besides, like you say, it didn't come with the OEM replacement filter.

I dumped mine. Didn't know what it was so I chucked it. Made absolutely BA difference.
