hi guys got a strange one, went to start the car today and it took a couple of turns to start, which is unusual, however it did start but I noticed I had a misfire on cylinder 1, so while the car was running I checked the injector was working as it should (they were new last year so should have been ok) so I switched it off after around 5 mins.

so I checked the coil pack/plug on cylinder one, went to start the car and nothing, I'm suspecting possibly a broken wire somewhere but not 100% sure.  at one point I had the ignition on, obviously not running and it sounded like a vac leak but obviously want that, after cycling the ignition it never did it again

so far I have checked both green relays under the bonnet, they have power on both sides and checked they switch as they should.

checked fuel is getting through, which it is but didn't seem to be a lot of pressure, from the fuel filter, but the system does pressurise and the pump shuts off. I have checked I have a live to all the injectors.

checked all fuses connected to the ignition system and all seem ok.

however on checking the coil pack connectors, I have an earth on each one, but with the ignition on I don't have a constant live on any of them, should there be a constant live across  the coil packs? if so I believe that could be the problem, but any other suggestions appreciated.

ok just to put this to bed, it turns out it looks like the immobiliser shat it self, anyhow bypassed the immobiliser circuits and the car fired straight up, just the mis fire on number one to sort now.
