Hi All

Does anyone have a Part No. for either the filter/sump gasket kit or alternatively the two individual parts ?

My gearbox has started playing up and my first thought is to service it and replace the oil. If it's shot then I'll be going down the conversion route I think.

If you really want to stay with an auto then get it fully reconditioned  which will cost 2k max.

or change to a manual conversion which may cost 3k

i had 4 autos in 4 years & l have gone manual & everything on the Zed is getting harder to find.

Hi Marky i agree with Arthur,i bought an auto 300zx z32 and despite doing less than 10000 miles in last 5 years am on my 3rd auto box.I have a manual box and bits and bobs to go with it but need to get it on road first before i go down manual route.Or maybe cut my losses and just save up and buy a manual car.

Autos are total pony in my personal experience.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did a auto to manual on my last 300 but decided on auto this time as I was just looking for a chilled out drive in all situations.

Jimmer I’m having real issues with random idle speeds but I haven’t had a chance with work being a bit insane to have a look at what it might be......the gearbox is sometimes (mostly) fine and changes like it should but other times will hold a gear far too long. Do you think they may be related ? 

Maybe it just needs a long run to get everything up to temp etc.

Have you done the auto self check on the box? You have not mentioned that.

Yes they have sir. manual gearboxes are scarce over a grand now! 

If you can get one. Plus other new parts (fly wheel, clutch plate, slave cylinder ect) & labour

Mind you I did change the coil packs, plugs & oil 

Not sure why Im telling you! You know whats involved ?
