I have planned another trip for people to meet up and drive: Boxhill to (almost) Brighton!

The route would be Box Hill in Surrey to the Smugglers Rest at Telscombe Cliffs on the edge of Brighton (ish). The route takes in some A roads, B roads and dual-carriageway. I have been on some of these roads before, but never been to Boxhill!

If people met in car park at 12pm, with the aim to leave around 12:30pm, the route should take about 2 hours, so we will arrive at the pub around 14:30(ish). The pub has lots of outside seating, so as long as the weather is nice a large group of us shouldn't be a problem. The pub also has a reasonable sized car park and the views are amazing as its hanging on to the cliff edge overlooking the sea. Nearer the time, when we have more solid numbers, I can always ring up and book. Any numbers over 8 people, I have to call them anyway.

Please let me know if you can come, it would be a great way to see out the (sunny part) of the year!

Assuming weathers half decent, yes definitely up for this. Sad I missed the recent one but the car has been at PowerZed - collecting it this week at some point yay [emoji16].

Really sorry to drop out again Tom but I had a leg injury recently which although is now healed, I got sciatica nerve on my left leg because of all the lying in bed! So can’t drive too far at the moment, especially as it’s my clutch leg. Next time though.

There’s this YouTuber who lists loads of random car meets on his social media and he’s into jap cars. He goes to loads around the uk every week or two. Some have club stands too. Seen a couple 300zx’s at the meets. I’ll message you more details, but might be worth going to one of these meets.

No problem, I hope you get better soon. I know how you feel, I have to use a special cushion when I sit down now. Laying down is ok for me as my weight is spread out over my body, but sitting for more than an hour without my cushion is hard work!

I think as there is no other interest, im going to have to cancel this meet. Maybe plan something next month?

Cheers Tom [emoji1417]. Exactly yeah, it was worse as I got told to go back to work but only part time for now thankfully. I couldn’t exactly say no boss I’m ill, after having 3-4 months off on furlough! Been standing and working on laptop as couldn’t sit for longer than a few minutes before. Getting a lot lot better now though as got painkillers last week from the docs so can walk loads. This should in turn cure it in next two weeks fingers crossed.

Anyway yep definitely arrange something for next month. This youtuber AdamC3046 he’s got a website I think where he lists the upcoming meets, so I’ll see what he has. Might entice more people if there’s lots of other cars to see.

I have seen a few of his videos on youtube, one of the big car show that happened during lockdown between brighton and newhaven that brought the traffic to a stand still!

Wow really haha, didn’t realise that was so close to home. I reckon some of the proper organised meets he goes to would be good, rather than the car park meets they do sometimes. Will keep a look out and let you know which shows sound good.
