Now that the new system is in place and nearly fully operational i want to get your views on hows its put together.

We still have loads to change but as the members make this place your views 100% count.

In the coming days a few of the main pages will be populated with information like :

Home Page - A snapshot of the club which needs to be updated weekly.

Membership - New membership details page making it even easier to join.

Blogs - This could be the new Premium Members section to display the work they do.

Classifieds - this is a new speciialy built app which works like a real store rather than modified forum.

Gallery - This is a fresh Gallery / Garage system as the old one could not be migrated.

Calendar - This will be populated with all the events the club is envolved with.

 

Will the PMs from the old system be migrated?

They already have, I can see mine OK. 

I can see Inbox PMs. Can the Sent PMs come over?

The new system shows everything as a conversation now. 

So the inbox is both.

What type of files does ipad use? 

It could be the extention is slightly different.

In the new activity / unread content, every new post is listed individually rather than just listing topics with multiple new posts as one item

Another forum I use started doing this a year or so ago and I really don't like it. If a topic has had lots of posts and it's a topic your not interested in then it's a lot to scroll through, and if you are interested then you have to find the first reply somewhere down the list

 

Don't suppose it's possible to choose view style?

Top right side click the green button that says condensed. 

Do the photo at the bottom of your post thing work on the new site? 

If so do we have to set it up from scratch? 

You can also change the filter to show topics only then make that the default view.

I don't think that does. Doesn't that change from just a list of post titles to title with snippet of post?

Change the content type in the filter to topics then click apply

I’m having problems with the new posts function. I have always used the forum where it shows me all the latest posts without having to navigate through each individual forum. It seems this is possible by clicking the button at the top of the screen which default loads Unread Content.

I see the filters and have saved them as a new stream but I can’t see any way to load this by default, or even to select it afterwards?

 

Also, how do I attach pictures to a specific parts of a post?

I had that problem, as you click on a picture a + symbol  will appear top corner of photo click or press that.
