Sure someone asked about light weight nuts recently and the concensus was to not use them or at least unproven one`s of the tinternet.

 

So I was aware of an issue with these on the BMW site I am on but now have the full story so as a way of warning so take a look here, not good.

"For those of you who weren’t at Vanity yesterday, this happened at 7:40 am, on the way to the show.

All 5 titanium wheel studs sheared

 

The wheel went under the car and then bounced all the way down the road, and into the bush (bottom left of picture).

Thankfully, I’d just pulled out of the junction and was travelling at around 15 mph. 10 minutes earlier, I was on the motorway, travelling a lot faster.

The car will be fixed by the end of the week and I’ll find out why the studs sheared.

 

My main point for posting is to say a massive thank you to Samarjit Singh Sandhu, Dean James Harrigan& James Willett.

Within 5 minutes of posting on Instagram, all 3 contacted me to check I was ok and see what help I needed.

 

Nothing was too much trouble for them, I’m really grateful to all 3 of you, so thank you!

One too many dugga duggas.... titanium isn’t known for its ability to stretch!
