Looking at attending next year's Hungarian Grand Prix (being part Hungarian is a bit of that reason)!

Despite being to plenty of BTCC and WRC events, I've yet to go to any F1 races - whilst tickets for Hungary 2020 have yet to be released, I have a vague idea of what's involved at each circuit cost-wise however I have become a little confused with F1 Experience ticketing and regular ticketing. My budget is fairly high, so if I can gain paddock entrance passes that would be wonderful. F1 Experience website pricing seems quite a lot higher than what I've seen elsewhere and I've seen pit passes ranging from £500 to over £2k. F1 Experience is an official package and comes with all sorts of additional hospitality extras that I'm not too fussed about.

Anyone who's been to watch the F1 in person, if anyone of you have got the best booking procedure or have any relevant information, that would be great

That's because Austin is one of the most expensive tracks, Hungary, Russia and Chinese GPs are nowhere near as costly. Monaco GP is the most expensive so I'm led to believe.

i think you will find the paddock passes and experiences for all teams and venues are managed by the same company, which you already have the pricing detail for.

all links lead back there, and have done for quite a few years now.

even if you speak to one of the teams directly, they will redirect you there.

the only alternative is to know someone at the team, or a sponsor, who might have some "perks" passes granted to them for direct access to their pit and the pit lane in general.

Jesus! That's actually really good - might have to consider Austin. I've driven round COTA in a Z32, that was very cool! Wonderful circuit.

Takes away a bit from the reason you were going to Hungary though, as I take it you're not part American.

Not these days. Back in the Bernie days he used to sweet talk teams by providing spare passes, that were often "raffled" off internally, but these days they are so limited and tightly controlled we dont get any spares for ourselves let alone friends and family. Silverstone being the one exception, but even then its very limited between teams.

Yes, i know it's been getting stricter each year, and also the sponsors only get a limited allocation of tickets as well now, if any depending on their size/contribution...

It is starting to happen at some of the other motorsport classes now too, not just F1.

Sad times for the real grass root fans that properly appreciate that type of dream access, and can't afford to just buy their way in to the experience.
