Hi gents

Does any one know what the part number is of the the little piece of plastic that sits at the ends of the central bar between the targa panels?

Thank you in advance ?

Yup, as above, the end caps are not sold separately. The unit itself is inexpensive and freshens up the roof. Buy new now whilst they're still available.:)

I bought one several years ago for my then LWB its now on my SWB and still like new.

I'm confused; they're 2 separate part numbers, 2+2 and 2+0 shouldn't be interchangeable?

I guess I'm proof they are interchangeable. Mine was bought for my LWB and then fitted to my SWB it is a perfect fit.

Well, since you never fitted it to your 2+2, are you sure you didn't buy the wrong one?

They do have different part numbers. Rather than the length I would suggest it is the curve of the roof on which they

sit that makes the (perhaps small) difference - see below:

I remember setting both bars on a flat surface and could see no difference in size and curvature. Will take a picture of the targa sitting in the bar when I get home so you can see how it fits.

So this is the Targa in place what do you think

I can see from that photo that the rear plastic trim tab doesn’t sit flush like it should do, it sticks up a little.

Different photo angle Gary. The first photo you took, the rear of the tab looks like it’s sitting proud.

Still can’t really tell, but it looks like it’s sitting higher than it should.

It also overhangs more.

You are taking a photo of the rear portion?

I’m not doubting they don’t fit, but a I think physically, that’s where the difference lies, they probably have different end caps which have different profiles which is why there are two different part numbers.
