hi guys going to be looking at changing my exhaust later this year hopefully, i've currently got a power flow system (which i'm not to pleased with the quality of it) the system i currently have on is 2.5" downpipes to replace the cats, into a 2.5" system which goes straight through to a single back box on each side with no x pipe, i have no idea if they are mufflers or resonators as the invoice just says tail pipes slash cut. anyhow i wanted something a little more subtle at the moment it's loud on idle & lower revs then is a lot quieter when i hit the 60mph range. i was after something quieter on idle with a bit more grunt higher up the rev range. any ideas what i should be looking at?

As choice is now very limited if you want a high quality ready-made system, it might be worth going to Infinity Exhausts which aren't too far from you. Ideally you should have an X or H pipe joining the two systems together.

Don't try to salvage any part of that Powerflow system, the materials that Powerflow franchises use are woeful at best. If you go to Infinity, you can also get it tailor made however they use top-quality materials, not the crappy mongrel stainless which you find on Powerflow systems.

to be honest the power flow downpipes that a garage down swindon way made were less than quality, they had all the gear and no idea, cost me £250 for 2 downpipes by the time they has snapped off 2 of the elbow mounting bolts on each side and had to drill them out, they used the flange of the original pipes, and welded it onto the stainless, to say the welding was like pigeon sh*t was an understatement, welded it once, and it was blowing, so then had to weld both another 3 times over the top to get it to seal!, the rear end of the system was on the car when i bought it, the previous owner paid £450 for that, and as it's a single pipe from cat to back box, it was missing most of the hangers, it was only held on by the rear 2.

i emailed them today to get a guide price, and ideas of what they would recommend.
