Maybe I think carpet bombing is different from your definition, but I think it consists of 3 B52's and results in a strip of land half a mile wide by three miles long consisting of rubble.

 

I think the international community would have noticed.

 

I think the Allied forces went to far to much trouble to avoid civilian casualties.

we are always told how good the special forces are, how they infiltrate the enemy etc. but they cant find him, nor could they find Laden.

 

i'm not so sure they would assassinate him, as thats not such a politically correct method as waging a war

 

there are still plenty of other "rulers" that should be targetted for the same treatment, but they continually get away with their crimes against their own people, and thats been going on for years...

I think supporting the Israelis is valid though, if the western world didn't, they rapidly get backed into a corner by the surrounding states, and then they would use nuclear weapons.

 

It's worth any amount of hypocrisy to stop that happening.

I believe there is an agreement that means that World Leaders do not 'take each other out' (and I don't mean to the pub) This means that as usual the tossers at the top never have to pay for or be worried about all the shit they cause due to their own greed/incompetence/insanity.

 

Oh yeah, and Saddam is listed as the 7th richest man on the planet......but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it either.
