Has anyone used "Performance Direct" for their insurance on their Z?

I'm currently with Lancaster who have sent my renewal through at £370 (paid £302 last year).

Performance direct just quoted me £217 with agreed valuation and salvage retention!

Just wanted to see if anyone has used them before and if they are any good?

I’ve used them Dave without issue, in fact for nearly every year I’ve had the z.

Cheers Andy... Big saving that!

I use them it’s the trading name for Grove & Dean.

Last year May 2018 was £203 fully comp no mods & 5k miles a year & £150 excess.

NCD +10 years.

Hmm.... Not that impressed with them actually.

Rang them up to discuss the quote and unfortunately, they won't offer agreed valuation unless the car is kept in a garage!

I've not had that issue with Lancaster or Footman James. I'll see what each of them can offer tomorrow.

A car kept in a garage is worth a lot more than one exposed to the eliments. They’ll be insisting on a careful lady owner next.:hammer::confused1:

It's annoying when you state where the vehicle is kept over night in the online question set. So, they knew that bit before they quoted me and sent me the below saying what's included. Good job I phoned up and checked the terms before accepting online!

Insurance companies are so hit and miss and are a mine field to navigate. I remember being told a few years ago that a car on a driveway is cheaper to insure than a car in a garage because if someone breaks into your garage they have plenty of time to steal your car without being seen but if its on your drive they can be seen so its harder to steel.. I sometimes think they make up the rules when it suits them.
